Sustainability Practices - How we go green
Since sustainability is at the core of what we do, EDGE® looks out for you on and off of the court. From our world-class formula to our packaging and fulfillment, we always have you, your loved ones, and the environment in mind with every decision that we make.
Our Formula
Creating EDGE®, we wanted you to be able to play at the top of your game while taking care of our planet at the same time.
Our formula meets the EPA’s Safer Choice is safe for your shoes, your lungs, our planet, and even your pets! We use non-toxic, bio-based rubber softeners picked with customers and the environment in mind.
Our Packaging
Material-minded: We use recyclable glass bottles whenever possible and cardboard packaging to minimize plastic use. When we use plastic, we choose recyclable plastics that often contain PCW to maximize how much we reuse and minimize how much plastic we put out.
20% of garbage in our landfills, we use glass bottles that are 100% recyclable. Our compostable cardboard packaging decomposes at a rate that is about 100X faster than plastics and other cardboard, which take upwards of 450 years to fully
Fulfillment
We partner with Shopify to offer Shop Pay at checkout - choosing this payment option completely offsets the Carbon Emissions associated with your delivery.
WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
In order to achieve our 1.5°C climate goal, climate scientists assert that we need to remove 10 gigatonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere each year. Carbon management programs like reforestation play an important role in carbon offsetting, but they aren’t enough. We need to reduce the amount of carbon we release into the atmosphere, and drastically increase the amount we are removing using a variety of techniques.
Our goal is to make it as seamless as possible for you to do your part.
